Pastoral care

At theBridge, we walk with you through grief and joy, crisis and celebration. Whether you need prayer, biblical counsel, or simply a listening ear, our Pastoral Care team is here to help you take the next step toward Jesus.
Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ. (Galatians 6:2)

Scott Cook
February 19, 1970 - September 8, 2026
Our church family extends heartfelt prayers and condolences to Melissa Cook and her family following the passing of her beloved husband, Scott Anthony Cook, on September 8, 2026.

Scott, affectionately known as “Cookie,” will be remembered for his generous heart, kindness toward others, and devotion to his family. We give thanks for his life, his 32 years of marriage to Melissa, and the love he shared with their son, Bailee.

During this time of sorrow, we pray that God will surround Melissa, Bailee, and all who loved Scott with comfort, strength, and peace. May cherished memories bring moments of solace, and may our congregation support them through prayer and compassionate care.

Visitation will be held Sunday, September 13, from 2:00pm to 4:00pm at Horne Funeral Home in Christiansburg, followed by a memorial service at 4:00pm.
