Life Lessons From Motherhood

This sermon provides three key lessons about motherhood framed through a Christian lens.  Imagining the perfect experience of motherhood is not helpful, and instead, mothers should trust in God to help them through the difficult realities. Secondly, mothers must model humility and repentance for their children by readily admitting mistakes and asking for forgiveness. Finally, mothers must learn to gradually let go as their children grow, recognizing that each stage of childhood requires a different approach to parenting. This framework for parenting, with its foundation in faith, encourages mothers to remain steadfast in their faith as they raise children to become independent adults.
